Google lance son wallet, PayPal ouvre ses pages de paiement aux développeurs de la terre entière, les opérateurs téléphoniques se regroupent pour faciliter et sécuriser les paiements par mobile, les banques contre-attaquent et lancent leur porte-monnaie électronique tout en renforçant la sécurité des paiements avec 3DSecure, l’ incontournable Facebook lance sa monnaie virtuelle et les coupons paiement d’un nouveau genre inondent le marché, les émetteurs de chèques et tickets restaurant papier passent à la dématérialisation pour s’imposer en ligne…

Why launch a blog about payments?

Because rapid, indeed revolutionary, changes are now shaking the payment industry… and they will have a far-reaching impact on our consumer behavior.

Because not a week goes by without some ground-breaking innovation in this domain. Google is launching its Wallet; PayPal is opening its payment pages to developers from across the entire world; telecoms operators are coming together to facilitate and secure payments made via cell phones; and banks are defending their corner, launching their own virtual wallets and boosting payment security with 3DSecure. Naturally, Facebook is part of the movement, launching its own virtual currency. New-generation e-coupons are flooding the market, and checkbook and meal ticket issuers are increasingly turning towards paper-free solutions and the online revolution…

Because we need to understand this revolution in order to be a part of it. That is the mission of this blog.
